Deb's Shed

For her birthday, October 26, 2020, Deb said she wanted a shed, and I said, "Find what you want," so after spending time looking at sheds in Corvallis and on the net, she found the "Bristhol" by Solidbuild, a tongue and groove shed kit made from Norway Spruce milled in Estonia and shipped to California and thence to Corvallis.

We ordered it, but─a company spokesperson said─because of the Covid pandemic, shipping times were uncertain.  That was not too disappointing because we had to prepare the site, where had been the shed for storing stall chips, and then odds and ends, until it collapsed, and then we used the spot for parking the tractor and miscellaneous stuff.

We moved stuff, then measured the site and began prepping it.
We cleared, dug, leveled,
framed, filled the frame with gravel,
and then concrete,
and pressed a pattern in it.
April 11, 2021, a semi backed into the yard and unloaded a huge package.
The lumber had arrived.
Following 28 pages of directions, we sorted the lumber and started assembling.
The windows and doors were already framed
and just required fitting cut wall boards.
Once the walls were up, we screwed down roof boards and covered them with rolled roofing.
Then we taped glass
and stained the wood.
Except for a few odds and ends, we finished,
and the next day, April 20,2021, Deb held her first party inside.
